Hello users of Go Play Gaming. I have an exciting announcement for everyone on the site: we are starting an official Go Play Gaming Twitch channel (mild applause).
Thank you, thank you. @polarplant and I have been working very diligently to create the channel, and with help from @orca-theory-orca-theory-gaming and @grudar-gplus, we have been able to create a format we believe to fits the Go Play Gaming atmosphere.
So here’s how it works:
1. Joining the Group
On the site, we will have the GPG TV Twitch Group (linked below). If you are interested in being on a stream at any point, please join the group. Whenever a stream is being planned, the hosts of that stream will post an update detailing times, games being played, and who will be hosting.

2. Hosts
Because we can’t give out stream keys to everyone (there may be a few hooligans who just want to mess with the stream), I have distributed keys to a few users on the site who have shown they can handle the “extreme responsibility” of having said keys. These hosts will be the ones streaming their gameplay to the site. In the description of the stream, site users who are participating will be listed, with links to their individual Twitch or YouTube channels, where viewers may go to watch the stream from one of their perspective. This allows for maximum exposure, and fosters a collaborative group attitude among all of those on the stream.
Eventually, I will start rolling out applications for people to apply to become hosts on the channel.
3. Streaming
When hosts announce they are looking for people to join a stream, all you must do is comment on the post or message the host directly through Go Play Gaming. Depending on the game, the host may have to bring people on a “first come, first serve” basis, seeing as some games have limited player counts for multiplayer modes. Generally, hosts will pick games which are both popular and allow for the most people to join in. If you can’t get on a stream, don’t worry, you can always join in on a different one. And because we are all humans, hosts will take notice if you keep trying to get on but never make the cut, so you may get a precedent if you have shown desire to be on the stream before.
If you have any questions at all regarding the Go Play Gaming TV Twitch channel, or any of the items detailed in this post, feel free to leave them in the comments. Additionally, if there are any suggestions, I would love to hear them. This whole system is not set in stone, and is still being tested, so any suggestions of constructive criticism is wanted.
Happy creating,
Max (Maxmarksjr/Multimaxmil)
